Istria is a region in Croatia known for its beautiful old towns and villages, untouched nature, the Adriatic Sea which surrounds the peninsula, and the excellent gastronomy. Surely you’ve heard of Istrian truffles at least once, or tried excellent Istrian olive oil and wine. It’s often called the Croatian Tuscany because of the green hills, meadows and old towns that rise on top of hills that really reminds you of the Tuscan ones. But what’s great about Istria, when you find yourself in the rural interior of the peninsula, you only need about 15 minutes to reach the Adriatic Sea.
A few years ago I also chose this location for my wedding, I was particularly happy when Sara and Mario booked me as their photographer at this same place, Paladnjaki – a small village in central Istria. At agritourism Paladnjaki to be exact. This is my happy place because apart from the idyllic countryside, the local food and wine that are made in house is without competition.
Apart from the local atmosphere, Sara and Mario are warm and lovely people who made this sunny summer day even more beautiful for everyone attending, so these photos still bring me back nice memories and emotions.
